Warren Tibbs Obituary

TIBBS Warren Nelson Tibbs Sr., passed away on May 23, 2013, at the age of 83. He was born in Ceres, Va., on Dec. 26, 1929, son of the late John Herman and Loma Helen Atwell Tibbs. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dean, Troy, Kenneth and Adrian Tibbs. He was a life long cook and food service manager. He is survived by his wife, Diane H. Tibbs of Bland; Warren Jr., and Cathy, Nelson III, and Lillian of Raymore, Miss., Darrell L., Joy and Caleb Tibbs, Bland, Joshua, Gina, River and Griffin Tibbs, Raleigh N.C., David, Lori and Spencer Tibbs, Wytheville, and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life service June 15 at 2 p.m. at the George H. Perry Senior Center in Ceres, Va. Please bring your favorite dish and join us. Donation may be sent to the Ceres Alumni Association; or the Bland County Volunteer Fire Department.
