Wayne Beamish Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 11, 2011.
BEAMISH, Wayne Beamer On Friday, May 6, 2011 Wayne passed away with his family at his side at the age of 74 years. Vivianne Beamish and her family regret to let you know that Beamer finally had enough of diabetes and heart problems and moved on to rejoin his Dad and Mom (Bert and Eva) and so many of his friends, but most of all he wanted the peace and quiet of living with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Arnold Wayne Beamish was born in Regina on May 6, 1937 (as he always said the Hindenberg wasn't the only disaster that day) to Arnold Richard and Eva Margaret Beamish. With a couple of exceptions, in the Navy and a couple of short term jobs in Brandon and Calgary, he spent his lifetime here. Wayne curled, bowled and golfed; he sold almost anything, he built and sold homes, refereed hockey and coached kids in Little League baseball and for more than 40 years was a dedicated member of the Optimist Club of Regina. In 1971, Wayne met Vivianne Kulman (nee Fontaine) and her children, James (Ardis) Lukowich, Cindy Kulman, Darrel Kulman (Carol), Tina Marie Kulman (James) and Darin (Tammy) Kulman. Eventually he became Grandpa to Jesse and Brittany Lukowich, Christin, Chantel and Chase Bachman, Kyle Kulman and Tanner and MacKenzie Rushinko and Great Grandpa to (Christin's girls) Brooklyn, Madison, Jersey and Britton. Wayne is also survived by his brothers, Gary (Penny) in White Rock, B.C. and Dennis (Margie) and their family in Cambridge, ON; aunts, an uncle and three generations of cousins on both the Beamish and Carson sides of the family, many good friend relatives from Vivianne's family, a host of friends from everywhere, Optimists from across Alberta, Montana, Saskatchewan and Northern Wyoming Districts, Commissionaires with whom he worked since 1992 and the many Mounties and staff he befriended through his years he spent as a commissionaire at F Division Headquarters and Depot Division in Regina. Beamer was educated at Albert School and Scott Collegiate in Regina and Carleton University in Ottawa. He worked in accounting, switched to journalism which led to sales and sales management. After his first major heart problem Beamer joined the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires where he spent the last many years as a Corporal supervising construction security at the RCMP Training Academy. Wayne was a people person who loved belonging, exemplified by his many volunteer positions. These were: three terms as President of his Optimist Club, his term as a Lieutenant Governor in his Optimist District, Public Relations Officer at Sask District HQ in the Canadian Army Militia, volunteering to work Grey Cup, president of the Murray Men's Golf Club, co-chaired the Saskatchewan Open Golf Tournament with Gord Burgess back in the Peter Jackson Tour days, coached a city championship little league baseball team in 1958, he was a died in the wool Roughrider and Blue Jay fan and in the last couple of years a good pizza delivery boy for Bobby Jo and Natasha at Western Pizza on Avonhurst Dr. Wayne loved his Lord and his church family at Faith Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church, 437 Broadway Ave. E., Regina, SK with Pastor Darold Sauer officiating. Thank you Regina and thank you Saskatchewan, it's been a slice Beamer Paragon Funeral Services entrusted with arrangements. 359-7776

Vivianne,

On behalf on myself and a few of the guys from Troop 5, 2007. My deepest condolences and sorry to hear of your loss, though comforted by knowing Waynes in a better place now. Wayne was a great guy and really astonished me by his generosity, taking the time and getting to know a few of us Cadets. Made a huge difference in those 6 months and has stuck with me ever since. I can only hope to follow Waynes example.

Regards,

Ian Patchett, British Columbia

Wayne helped make Depot a better place for a lot of Cadets. Many in my troop appreciated the effort he put forward for us to attend Church. His kindness will always be appreciated! David Thorne, Troop #5 2007.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
