I was Wayne's sister-in-law for many years. He was a unique individual and had an amazing natural gift for music. His favorite song? O, Freedom! I'm guessing he was singing this in full voice on his way Home.

My condolences to the family. To add to John Zuis's post.; I also rememember that he wrote a Christmas song tittled Why in the Sky, and another one called Take the Hand of Your Brother. I believe that one of his favorite things to do was scat sing with his brothers. Again , my deepest condolences to all of the Falbys.

I worked with Wayne a long time ago at Shaw's in Brockton. He was a good dude. He brought a little sunshine everyday.

Wayne had quite a musical talent, There are a couple of aspects of it I´m not sure how many people outside of his family are aware of and to what degree.
He had an incredible ear, he could discern intervals between notes ( where they fall in the scale ) and effortlessly transpose ( play a tune in different keys). I´ve seen him after hearing an unfamiliar tune, go to a piano & work out how to play the tune with his right hand, then work out an accompaniment with his left hand, being able to play it in a short time. I suspect he wasn´t too far from having perfect pitch.
Also another aspect of his ability is since because of his handicap, he couldn´t play the way someone without a handicap could, but he developed his own way to play, like the Jazz guitarist Django Reinhart did. He did it so well many folks just didn´t realize .
He also did some composing. His " Song of peace ", " Anytime, anyplace , anywhere" and " I am yours, you are mine" are a few things he did and were actually pretty good.

I'm one of Wayne's former classmates from high school. I was so sorry to hear this and my condolences to his family. I remember him well, he did have a great sense of humor and I remember him being in the band as a gifted musician. He had a great attitude and was a great example to our class. Again, my deepest condolences. Iris Smith
