Wayne Patrick Gerrish

Wayne Patrick Gerrish passed away in his home in Shadyside, Maryland on March 30, 2025. Wayne was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on February 25, 1976 to Patrick E. Gerrish and Sally Ann (Osbourne) Gerrish. The youngest of four children, Wayne is survived by his siblings Gregory Gerrish, Brian Gerrish, and Patricia Anne Gerrish of Weymouth, MA, his daughter, Riley Anne Gerrish, and his son, Patrick Oliver Gerrish, both of Annapolis, MD. As a young man, Wayne served in the Army Reserves. From 1999-2024, Wayne served as a police detective with the Metropolitan Police Department and an ATF task force member in Washington, D.C. Wayne was previously married to Jacqueline (Batres) Gerrish of Annapolis, MD. In 2004, they welcomed their daughter, Riley Anne Gerrish. In 2019, Wayne and Courtney Haynes of Annapolis, MD, had their son, Patrick Oliver Gerrish. Friends, family, and coworkers will always remember Wayne for his sense of humor and willingness to help a friend in need. Wayne truly loved live music, DIY home projects, and boating the waters of Anne Arundel County. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025 from 1pm-4pm at the Wiley H. Bates Legacy Center located at 1101 Smithville Street Annapolis, MD 21401.
