Wayne Wesley Miller

May 12, 1960 - July 4, 2022
Wayne will be sadly missed by his sons Wesley and Joshua, sister Kathleen (Bert) Sharp, brother Douglas (Elizabeth), friends Vince, Ted and Todd, many nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to mention. Predeceased by his parents Frances and Donald Miller, brother Kenneth (1992) and sister Pattie (2021). Wayne was a man of many hats, in high school he was in the drama club and had a passion for acting. He often emulated his favorite actor John Wayne hence the nick name "The Duke." He was also the social convener booking many memorable events. He was in several bands as a drummer, who started out in his basement on Carlton St. on pots and pans. During his 25 years at GM he continued entertaining after work, as a drummer and hosting karaoke at local bars for a few years. After retirement he enjoyed traveling to Europe, England, USA, but mainly many trips to Cuba where his never-ending generosity was evident as he handed out suitcases full of everyday necessities to the less fortunate that he brought from Canada. We would like to thank all his neighbors, friends, and health care workers who helped Wayne through his health struggles in his last few years. A special thanks to Mark who stayed with Wayne at his home his last few months until his demise at the Welland Hospital. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, July 16th after 10 a.m. where a service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m.
