Wayne Mosley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 14, 2020.
Wayne Mosley, age 72, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Wayne was born January 12, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to Thelma Murphy and Ed Mosley. He served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Wayne was an avid sports fisherman, hunter, rock crawler, and businessman. As a fisherman, Wayne shared his passion for the saltwater with many friends over the years. The business he and Merry Ann opened in 1986 is still successful and operated by his son Mark. We are blessed to know that Wayne brought so much joy to those around him. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Merry Ann Mosley; 2 sons, JD Mosley and his wife Kelley and Mark Mosley and his wife Kristen; 3 grandchildren, Bailey Ann, Cassie Jo, and Hayden Wayne; and sister Edwina. Merry Ann, I never went anywhere with Wayne that he did bring your name up, always in a positive way. I enjoyed stories of the many adventures you two had together. He bragged lovingly about his family and friends and don't recall him badmouthing anyone. He was the life in every group and a great story teller. Wayne got more pleasure out of seeing others have fun (fishing mostly) than doing it himself. His love for the outdoors was obvious especially on the water. Great work ethic and shrewd business man! Most of all he was a trusted friend loved by many. He will be waiting for your arrival in heaven someday ready to show you new adventures. God bless you, I'll never forget Wayne!! TS
