Wayne Noonan Obituary
On Saturday, March 18, 2017, Wayne Noonan, a retired teacher at Holy Cross Catholic School, passed away peacefully at home with his wife Sue and sons Derek (Teresa) and Jeff (Jess). A wonderful father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by Nanny and his four grandchildren: Lincoln, Nathaniel, Irelynn and Patrick. Wayne has donated his body to the Division of Anatomy at University of Toronto. There will be a Celebration of Life in the future. We love you dad.

I was strolling down memory lane recently wondering whatever happened to people I knew from the school board and came across this obituary.
I knew Wayne over 40 years ago when we met at a course and both taught for the Catholic board. We discovered we grew up around the corner from each other.
I would like to express my deepest condolences to his wife and family.

I'm sorry for your loss. Mr. Noonan was my grade 5, 7, and 8 teacher at Corpus Christi in the 70's. He was a natural teacher and a kind man. I feel fortunate to have been one of his students.

It is with heavy hearts we send our deepest condolences.
Going to work at Holy Cross with co workers like Wayne didn't feel like work - it became family away from family. I will always remember his sense of humour and especially how much he cared for his students. May he rest in eternal peace with our loving Father.

Mr Noonan was my grade 8 teacher many years ago and I always remembered the impact he had on me. He was a brilliant and patient man and was born to be a teacher. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his family.

Wayne was the first person to greet me when I moved to this street. Such a warm and friendly man. He had moved on from teaching at that point and drove the little buses. From the stories he told me and the way he told them I knew he was the caring considerate driver those special passengers needed.
He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. I have lots of good memories of Mr. Noonan as my grade 8 teacher. Of note, he had a great strategy for calming the class - reading us The Black Donnelly's novel. He had a good disposition and taught like he really wanted to be there. God bless.
