Wayne O'Keefe Obituary

Wayne (Oke) O'Keefe passed away at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 63, with his two sons by his side.
Wayne was born in Belleville, Ontario in 1948 and later moved to Winnipeg. After high school he went on to earn his certificates in Industrial and Management Accounting. He worked as an accountant for many years, most recently from home. He spent several years on the executive at Norberry Community Club and earned community recognition for his many volunteer commitments throughout his life time. Wayne also enjoyed many years curling and was an avid golfer.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Carole in 2006, who he missed dearly.
Wayne is lovingly remembered by his sons Steve and Jeff (Leanne); grandchildren Bradley, Kailyn and Alicia, and brother Dan (Sharon).
A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 21, at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard with Reverend Frasier Muldrew Officiating. Interment will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation 6 Donald St Suite 200 Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.

We are greatly saddened to know of the passing of Wayne, who together with Carol and both of you were our dear neighbors on Kilmarnock Bay. Be comforted in knowing how very much your parents loved you and what lovely people they were. We will always remember them as community-minded, free spirited and alot of fun. Sincerely, Allan and Evelyn Jacks and sons Cordell and Don.

To the O'Keefe Family . I read with great sadness of Wayne's passing . We grew up together in Silver Heights , and enjoyed many an evening or weekend at the Silver Heights Community Club . My thoughts are with you at this difficult time .
