I don't believe any Girl Scout Troop had as much fun as Troop 212, warmly and cheerfully led by Joan for many years. I will miss my chance encounters with Joan and her brilliant smile and "Hi, Honey!" that continued for so many years as I walked the neighborhood or saw her shopping. My warmest sympathies to your entire family.

I was so sad to hear about Joanie. I was so blessed to work with her. She was always taking care of staff as well as the children. I have a wonderful memory of her dancing at my wedding. She was so excited to find out I was Polish. She was one of a kind and will be missed.

my grandmother, Fran Gauthier lived next to Mary Golden on Hopedale St. I remember Mary speaking of her grandchildren and how proud she was of them and meeting
Joan. Mostly I remember seeing Joan when I was a kid and how absolutely beautiful she was and that smile. I am sorry for your loss.

Joanie was a comfort for me as I dropped my 3 year old off at the Baldwin school, just knowing Joanie was there to watch over her. Should a sweet lady, will miss our chats as you walked past our house each night.
