Paula Reese and family

I had the pleasure to work for the Wilson family in their River Oaks home. It was an enjoyable experience that I will forever cherish. They are a very loving and giving family. Mr. Wilson donated their Fleetwood Cadillac and a Station Wagon to us after buying new cars for his family. His family still keeps in contact with me year round. While working at Sakoitz Brothers Store on Main Street, I used to hear the Houston air raid sirens every Friday at noon when going to lunch but after all these years I didn't know he had it installed. I enjoyed his book "Always Welcomed"; thank you Mrs. Wilson and family for all the love that we received from you. I could say much more about the amazing man and his family. We send our condolences to his loved ones. God Bless you all.

What a rewarding experience it has been to have associated with the Wilson Family for 27 years, first as a partner in business and as a father-like figure with Welcome, Sr. and continuing with almost brother-like experiences with Welcome, Craig, Cindi and Joanne S. I was so honored to be one of Craig's first calls after "Sr." had died. And God bless Joanne W., the strong matriarch of this family.

"Cougar Maximus", as we liked to call him on the University of Houston Board of Regents, was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure of serving with anywhere. Not only was Welcome Sr. incredibly smart and intuitive, he willingly shared his knowledge with others. I am grateful for the time and teaching he gave to me, as a favorite and most beloved mentor.

I am fortunate to have known such an incredibly accomplished and inspiring man. The world lost a bright light. My deepest condolences to the Wilson family. Hope God's love brings you strength and courage to bear his loss. May his soul rest in peace.
