Carolyn Cunningham Jewell

SAN ANGELO Carolyn Cunningham Jewell that is now in Heaven, who was also a treasured jewel on earth; always praying for each one of us, loving us always with unconditional love. She bore many crosses here on earth and shed many tears; Praise God for hearing her prayers and always lifting her back up through Our Lord God's love, grace and mercy and mother's unyielding faith. Carolyn worked for Ethicon for many years and Oral Surgery Associates. Our mother was born April 27, 1936, in Miles, Texas, to Dix and Bessie (Glenn) Cunningham and was lifted up to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in Miles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wallace E. Jewell; their son, our brother, Perry D. Jewell; and their daughter, our sister, Donna S. Jewell Schafer. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Jewell Allen of Austin, Texas, Karla Kates and husband Daniel of San Angelo, Kathy Jewell Murdoch and husband Richard of Miles; a son, Randy Jewell and wife Debbie of Atchison, Kan; sisters Jean Bolz and husband Steve and Vena Benes and husband Jimmy; brother Glenn Cunningham, all of San Angelo; grandchildren Michelle Bobo, Heather Coyro and husband Paul, Brittney Allen, Audrey Allen, Brian S. Kelley, Daniel Wallace Kates, Jeremy Jewell and wife Dee, Sara Jewell Bautista and husband VE, Trent Jewell and Montica Minard, Kristopher Murdoch, Jennifer Murdoch, Jonathan Steven Schafer; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, in Miles Cemetery with Brother Bobby Roger and Brother Donnie Rouse, ministers at Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Donations in Carolyn's memory may be given to Calvary Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
