Wendy Chapman Obituary
Wendy Chapman (nee Rogers), beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in Burlington, On with her daughters by her side. Left behind to share in her memory are daughters Christine (Tadd) Axon and Kim (Brad) Cunningham, and her five grandsons who brought great joy and love to her life - Aidan, Nate, Declan, Cormac and Quade. Wendy is predeceased by her husband of 46 years Terry, her parents William (Ross) and Lorna Rogers, and sister Sharon. She is survived by siblings Nancy, Eric, Vern, Louise and the many in-laws, nieces and nephews who loved her. Always putting others before herself, "Grammie" spent countless hours with her grandchildren in recent years after moving from Calgary to Ontario to be near them. Her heart was filled with more love than imaginable for her 5 grandsons, and she had an equal place in theirs. The loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind.
Our biggest thanks to the angels at Joseph Brant Hospital who ensured all of mom's wishes were carried through, including a lake view as she said goodbye. At Wendy's request, no service will be held. In living memory, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park, and a second one in Ontario, where her beauty and strength will live on.
