Wendy Rayner Obituary
nee Hughes Born and lived all of her life in
Lock Lane, Castleford.
Passed away peacefully in hospital, after a short illness on
23rd April 2019, aged 75 years.
The beloved and devoted wife of Rod, the loving mam of Sheila, James and Penny, a dear
mother in law of Dave,
a special gran and great gran,
a loved sister to Mavis, also a dear sister in law of John.
Will be sadly missed by all of her loving family and many friends.
The funeral will take place on Friday 10th May with service at Pontefract Crematorium at 11.40am.
After the service everyone is welcome for refreshments at
The Lock Lane Community Centre, Back William Street, Castleford WF10 2LW. Family flowers by request only please. Donations will be kindly received in lieu in aid of Ward 45B at Pinderfields Hospital. All enquiries to McTigue Funeral Directors, Castleford.

When I met my wife I spent a lot of time at William street community centre waiting for the girls to finish dancing.Going to dance trips with the older girls. I only heard of her as Grandma Wendy. She did a lot for them kids. She did a lot for my wife growing up too.
Going on club trips. Staying over with Sarah. She told me lots of happy times spent with Wendy. Thank you. You have done a lot for the community and put Lock lane on the map. R.I.P
