Wendy Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 27, 2023.
Wendy Jo Wilson, passed to eternity on February 12, 2023, after a brief illness, at Ocala Florida.

Wendy was born on October 15, 1959, to Joseph C. Wilson and Norma E. (Jansen) Wilson. She was a 1977 graduate of Lake Weir High School. She worked in animal care and retail.

Wendy's life was filled with many challenges and opportunities, each of which she embraced to the fullest. She was most passionate about the salvation and stewardship of our endangered wildlife, and also the abused and neglected domestic animals it is our duty to cherish and protect. She was a strong supporter and advocate for the preservation and improvement of our environment. Wendy was a free spirit, who lived her life to the fullest, full of love and friendships.

Wendy is survived by her sister Marie Wilson Alfieri, nieces Tiffany Helfer (Bryon) and Laura Throop, a grandniece and three grandnephews, and innumerable colleagues and friends. She touched the lives of so many.

There will be a Celebration of Life for immediate family only. Those who wish to honor Wendy's memory are encouraged to make a donation to the World Wildlife Federation or the ASPCA.

The first time I met Wendy she had a big friendly smile on her face and it stayed that way as long as I knew her

Good night, Baby Sister, words cannot express the degree of loss all those who loved you have sustained. I will keep stewardship over all you left to me, until we meet again, I love you.
