Chincoteague Island, VA - Wesley Reed Bloxom "Old Dad", 78, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away on November 16, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on Chincoteague Island, VA on February 10, 1939 to the late Howard and Margaret (Williams) Bloxom.

He was a member of Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company for 57 years. He rode with the Saltwater Cowboy and the Easy Riders for 57 years. He was also an associate member of the American Legion Post #159.

Wesley is survived by his son, John Wesley Bloxom and his wife Terri of Chincoteague Island, VA; Girlfriend, Carlene Jean Bloxom of Chincoteague Island, VA; two step children, P.J. Sulecki of DE, Giselle Hockoby of NJ; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Bloxom and his wife Martha of TN, Paul David Bloxom and his girlfriend Diane Wolfe of Chincoteague Island, VA; Two Sisters, Sissy Taylor and her husband Kenny of Chincoteague Island, VA, Isabel Gibbons of SC; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Bloxom, mother, Margaret Bloxom, brother, Howard Bloxom, and Brother, Harvey Bloxom.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017, 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Kevin Eley, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Daisey Cemetery with fireman honors.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to CVFC Building Fund Po Box 691 Chincoteague Island, VA 23336. Services entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. Condolences may be made online at www.salyerfh.com.
