WESLEY DEMPSEY Obituary
1924 – Heward, Saskatchewan
2013 – Calgary, Alberta
Wesley Carman Dempsey of Calgary passed away on October 19, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Wes was born in Heward, Saskatchewan. He had many occupations, however, the career that he was most loyal and committed to, was being the best Dad and Grandfather ever. He will be fondly remembered by his children Barry Dempsey, Rick (Cindy) Dempsey, Sandra (Aron) Koch and Melony (Lawrence) Materi; Grandchildren Jodie Simes, Lindsey (Rodney) Ulvild Catherine (Matt) Furukawa, James Dempsey, Jillian Dempsey and Codee Koch. Great-grandsons Austin, Alex and Ronan Simes. Great-granddaughter Ainsley Furukawa along with many nieces and nephews. PaPa will always be remembered and missed by his K-9 companions Buster and Brandi. Wes was predeceased by his parents Thomas & Arletta Dempsey; siblings George (Marnie) Dempsey, Lloyd (Eileen) Dempsey, Marion (Pat) Bird, Marjorie (George) Barber; his wife of many years, Shirley Dempsey; grandsons Scott Dempsey and Aaron Simes; as well as man's best friend, Magic. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held at a later date. If friends so desire tributes may be made to a charity of your choice in Wesley's name. Ah Dad, I'm already missing our nightly telephone conversations, your never ending love, support, pride, and hope in your family. Always painfully honest and never a critical thing could be said of our family without your defence. Really miss you and Mom. The cards you never failed to lovingly send regardless if they were ever acknowledged. You've earned your eternal peace now Dad, no further need to worry about all of us. Always close in spirit, you shared yours with everyone you met and made the time. Well Hello, Barry
