Wesley Duck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 10, 2018.
Wesley "Wes" Ray Duck, Jr., 54, a software architect and consultant and long-time resident of Dallas, TX, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2018 at his home in Oak Cliff.
Wes is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kelley Duck (née Molina); his daughter, Eve Cheryce Duck, his brother Stephen Duck of Roslindale, MA: and his sister Shawntell McKillop of San Angelo, TX.
Wes was born in San Diego, CA on October 3, 1963 to parents Cheryce Floy Bates and Wesley Ray Duck, Sr., both deceased. A 1981 alumnus of Duncanville High School, he graduated cum laude with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1985 and would go on to earn his MBA in Information Systems. Most recently he was employed as a consultant with Robert Half Technology and worked extensively with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. On April 25, 1992, he married Kelley, his college girlfriend, and on February 21, 2001, they welcomed their daughter Eve into the world; she instantly became the center of her father's.
Wesley had a profound love of learning, nurtured in childhood by his grandmother, Glenice. A voracious reader, he never went anywhere without a book and was always seeking ways to improve his technical knowledge, in addition to his avid interest in world history and science, especially astronomy. Wes loved all things nature and the outdoors, camping, and hiking with his family. More than anything Wes enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughter. Always open to new challenges and outlooks, Wes was a wonderful teacher, and perpetual student. He forever be remembered as a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and husband.
