"Grandpa"
Wil passed away peacefully in his sleep at the St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Kingston, ON, on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the age of 84. Wil is survived by his wife Lisette Lavigne of 16 years. He will be sadly missed by Myrna Krause, mother of Wesley and his wife Diane, of Ottawa and Wendy Bower and her husband Todd, of Toronto; his grandchildren April Rose and Devlin, and Heather and Kathryn. He was loved and will also be missed by Lisette's children, grandchildren and great grandson. Dear brother of Arnold (Anne), the late Don (Lyndy), Clara (Herb) and Loreen (Carroll). Wil's family would like to pass along their gratitude and thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Mary's for seeing Wil through to his next voyage. Following cremation, Wil's children will be bringing him home to the Lake. For those who wish, donations may be made to the U.H.K.F. (St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Gibson 3) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Wil's memory. Online condolences may be made to www.jamesreidfuneralhome.com.

I lived a wonderful life with Wil. We shared the love of family,friends,entertaining,travelling. He was honest,intelligent,smart,loving,funny and full of opinions. Everyone loved to hear about his travels. There is a big empty spot in my heart right now but my Memories will keep me smiling.

Cottage & dock building, campfires & lake side fireworks, boat rides, tractor rides and evenings of fishing for just the two of us, are only a few of the endless memories we have of my Dad and his place by the lake.

I was saddened to hear of Wilf's passing. I worked for him for many years and highly respected and admired him. He was instrumental in forming my career. I learned so much from him about our business but also about how to deal professionally with everyone. He will be greatly missed.
