To the family of Willie, you have my deepest sympathy. Although I wasn't a big part of Willie's life,I'll miss him. I've been wondering where and how he was, as I hadn't seen him for quite awhile. I work at the Union Hall and over the years when the Retiree's came in for their meetings, Willie would sometimes come into the main area and chat. He was always such a cheerful and peaceful man. Every time I seen him I was inspired by his spirit and his inner warmth. Be assured Willie lives on in the heart's of others. Nancy

Dear Jane & to All of Wilbert's Family,
On behalf of all the members of the Communications Workers of America Local 7200, the members of The Retirees Chapter of CWA Local 7200 that have attended regular union meetings & later many retiree meetings with "Willie" over the years, his long faithful friendship & presence will indeed be missed by all that knew him.
He was a very loyal dedicated member & a top notch dependable co-worker at Northwestern Bell.
I feel very honored that Willie liked this picture I took of him several years ago at a Retiree function, to have him request that it be used here. He was a very good old friend.
We all want to extend our deepest very sincere sympathy to all the Volkenant Family.
In Solidarity,
VP of Retiree CWA Local 7200 Chapter,
Very Sincerely,
Jamie Gagnon

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy to Wilbert's family from the Qwest Metro Life Member Pioneers. We really enjoyed visiting with Wilbert when he faithfully attended our Pioneer luncheon meetings. He was a kind and interesting fellow and a pleasure to talk to.

I so remember Wilbert. When I was trying to find out information about our branch of the Volkenant family (Joe was my grandpa and his cousin) he helped a lot. Along with his brother Alfred they sent me pictures and information that Wilbert had research at the Historical Society. I will miss him. Diane Johnson Schauer
