Wilfred ADAM Obituary
September 29, 1919 - October 25, 2013
Passed away Friday, October 25th in Windsor, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Florence nee Parent (2003). Dearest father of Dick (Myrna), Ray (Julie), Denis, Annette Solly (Chuck), Jerry (Debra), Joe (Colleen) and predeceased by his son Roger (2001). Cherished grandfather of 14, great- grandfather of 16 also step-grandfather of 9 and step-great-grandfather of 15. Dearest brother of Gene (Barb), Marie Rose Gagnier, Gabrielle Trescone (Vince) and Al. Predeceased by brothers Armand, Bernard, Bruno, Philip and George. Brother-in-law to Loretta Parent, Doreen Parent and Claire Fournier. Dad was a retired realtor with Buckingham Realty, 3rd Degree Member of K of C Council 9865 and RCL Branch 255. Wilf joined the Essex Tank Regiment (Reserve) in 1940. The regiment raised to active service in 1942, then shipped to England in 1943 and was soon disbanded. He transferred to the Essex Scottish and went to Europe. Special thanks to the staff at Oak Park Retirement Home for 9 1/2 years of TLC, Dr. John Greenaway and the staff at CCAC. on Monday, October 28th from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. and evening services under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, October 29th, Friends are asked to gather directly at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd. at Wyandotte E.) after 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. We have known Wilf for many years, from St. John Vianney K of C. We would see them on Sat. night, after Mass at Arby's, with his brother Gene and friends. Always smiling and happy. Steve is visiting his 6 grandchildren in Oakville and I have a bad cold, can not go to funeral, will pray for him and his family.

I worked with Wilf at Major Realty and he was a very kind person who helped this new comer very much. He was a fine man. It was a gift to have met him.

What a wonderful generation of men, The Adam Brothers. Uncle Wilf was someone I looked up to, loved and admired. It always made my day, whenever I would run into him in places I never would have expected seeing him there... Thoughts and prayers to the Adam Family.
