Mr Wilfred Charles Clarke, (Bill), of
Chesterfield, has died at Chesterfield
Royal Hospital, aged 89.
Born at Sheffield and a resident of the
local area for 35years, he joined the Royal
Navy as Boy Seaman, serving 17 years and
achieving rank of Chief Petty Officer. He
then worked at Robinsons as workstudy
manager, serving 20 years and retired
24 years ago.
Mr Clarke enjoyed fishing, caravanning and gardening and he was an active
union representative.
He leaves widow Sandra, a son, two
daughters and three granddaughters.
Cremation at Chesterfield takes
place on Friday, September 21, at 11.30am.
