Willard “Scott” Jeffery II Obituary
He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend.
Scott was born on July 6, 1941, to Willard and Helen Jeffery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Scott was a 1959 graduate of Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, TX. He received his Bachelor's degree from TCU in Fort Worth and his masters from Nichols State.
Scott lived in the Texas City/LaMarque/Dickinson areas from 1985 up until his move to the Copperfield area in west Houston to be closer to one of his sons in July 2023.
He started working for Union Carbide in March 1966 and continued for the next 35 years and finally retired in June 2001.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Helen Jeffery, his brother, Kirke Jeffery and grandson Steven Touchton Glassco.
He is survived by his three sons-Brian (Ruth) of Port Allen, LA, Nathan (Jennifer) of Katy, TX and Blair (Jennifer) of Houston, TX. In addition, he is survived by two grandsons, Michael & William, his brother, Craig (Susan) of Richardson, TX, sister-in-law Janene of Austin, TX, nieces Erin (Jeremy) Rein of Wake Forest, NC, Lauren (Chad) Decker of Richardson, TX, Alisa Jeffery of Boulder, CO, Kathleen Jeffery of Austin, TX and great-grandson Raliegh Glassco of Hickory, NC.
Scott enjoyed spending time with his family and friends (new and old). He spent many Sundays watching football with Nathan as well as enjoying dinners out with Nathan & Jennifer. He also enjoyed running parts or attending the race track to watch Brian. Scott also enjoyed camping, fishing, taking cruises and going on all inclusive trips when he could.
All of those who had the pleasure to meet and talk with Scott know he never met a stranger.
The memorial service will be February 22, 2025 at 3:30 pm at Toddy Oaks 20120 Franz Rd, Katy, TX 77449 with a reception to follow.

My prayers and condolences to Scott's family and friends.
Scott was so understanding of my work position at UCC back in 1985, when I had to decide whether to stay at UCC and take a very new position (he hadn't written a job description for me) when he offer an accounting position to keep me from being laid off from private trucking. I left trucking on Friday and started the following Monday. On Monday, he called us all together in his office and told us goodbye he was going to Texas City to be plant manager. We laughed, because he had the record of being my boss for a day. Over the years, we would cross paths and laugh about his record and the fact that my paperwork moved as fast as his leaving Houston. The last time I saw Scott was in 1999, or 2000, in Danbury, CT, where we were testing SAP programing.
Rest in peace Scott. I will look up on the other side so we can have our little laugh.
