William P. "Babe" Albertini

William P. “Babe” Albertini, 81, of Crowe Street died the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, in Jameson Hospital.He was born July 13, 1927, in New Castle, a son of the late Antonio and Concetta Biondi Albertini.He was married to the former Jessie Eiler. She died in 1997.Mr. Albertini was a truck driver, retiring after 41 years with Ed Chadderton Trucking and Graziani Trucking.He was a member of the Teamsters.Mr. Albertini was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in China.Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Toni and Russell Fox of New Castle, and Shirley Albertini of Greenville, S.C.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William and Sharon Albertini, and Jeffrey Albertini, all of New Castle; a brother, George Albertini of New Castle; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony W. Albertini; and his brother, Pete Albertini.Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday for St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev.
