With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of William D. "Bill" Jones on December 3, 2024, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, at the age of 67. Born on October 28, 1957, Bill was a man of generosity and dedication, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Bill was known for his selfless spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others. Whether shoveling snow for neighbors or providing devoted care for his parents and their property, he exemplified kindness and responsibility. During his mother's final years with dementia, Bill cared for her with remarkable compassion and patience.

An avid reader and kayaker, Bill found joy in both intellectual pursuits and the natural world. He was deeply committed to prairie restoration efforts, dedicating himself to restoring his parents' property at Lower Genesee Lake. His passion for conservation reflected his profound love for nature.

Bill's dedication to giving back extended beyond his personal life. He established the Bonnie and Mike Jones Fund at the La Crosse Area Community Foundation to honor his parents' legacy. Through this fund, he supported numerous community nonprofits, ensuring a lasting impact on causes close to his heart.

Known for his quirky sense of humor and ability to connect with people, Bill brought warmth and light to everyday interactions. He leaves behind two siblings and countless others whose lives he touched through his kindness and generosity.
