William Cain Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 3, 2023.
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Mr. William Howard Cain announced his passing on June 18th, 2023, at the age of 75.

Bill will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jamie Shroyer, son-in-law Eric Shroyer and his two grandchildren, Hannah and Jackson Shroyer.

Born and raised in Long Island, he grew up in Oceanside with his sister Carole whom he adored. Bill was a lifelong New Yorker though his journey took him to live in both Florida and Texas in his later years. An avid Yankees and Giants fan, he made friends everywhere he went and his true hobby was an active conversation with family, friends, and everyone with whom he came in contact. He was always the funniest person in the room and made everyone feel comfortable with his delightful stories, larger-than-life personality, and genuine interest in everyone.

Bill had a successful career in IT and was an early pioneer in the digital age, working for Maintech for over 30 years. He traveled throughout the world, exploring England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Morocco, the Caribbean, and more. He especially cherished his trips with his daughter Jamie throughout the US, including a recent adventure to Alaska.

His biggest accomplishment was his family in becoming not only a father, but also a grandfather. There is nothing Bill loved more than his family.
