To the Clary family: We were in Florida when we heard the news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will always have fond memories of Bill, especially related to tennis and his jovial demeanor. Bill was the first person I ever saw to hit a two-handed backhand overhead with authority. He will be missed. Rick Bartlett and Sandy Heeke

I am so sorry that I was not able to make it to the memorial. I have been thinking about Coach Clary and the major role he played in my life since I heard the news. I know my words will not bring you the comfort you so desperately seek right now, but know this - he did what most of us dream of. He lived a life that left an indelible mark on so many lives. His legacy will be the care and love that he showed others through the way he lived his life. You are in my prayers. Love to you all.

My dearest Shannan and family, my heart aches for you. Although I did not know your daddy, I do know he had to be an amazing man, for he raised an inCREdible daughter. May our Lord bring you peace and strength as you endure these days. Find comfort in knowing you will be together again one day. *hugs*

Bill was a joy to be around both as a tennis partner & friend. He was quick witted with a wonderful sense of humor. One of the most likable persons I've ever known. He loved competition, but always kept it friendly. Bill will be sorely missed by all who knew him & cared for him.

Brenda, Shannan, and Trey....words cannot begin to express my sorrow for your loss. My memories of Bill and your family date way, way back, as you well know. Our days together on Elmwood Drive will always hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember Bill as a 'kid' friendly neighbor, always welcoming Jonathan and Jill to join in 'the fun' whether it be for a swim or a friendly tennis match. I know you will miss him soooo much; with that said, please know that you ALL will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time. (I regret that I will not be able to attend the memorial; I am in MO caring for my sick parents.) Love to you ALL!! Bev

Clary Family--You will be amazed over the coming months how many people Bill touched throughout his life. I have known him in the capacity as a rival coach (while I played for Jeff High), as both a rival and partner as a tennis player (we played weekly at the LTC for some time), and both as a rival and a colleague in the courtroom. I will miss Bill greatly, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss.

Clary Family: I've never met most of you but I met Bill almost 30 years ago. I was a new lawyer and he was always very caring with his clients and helped me learn some ropes. I'm stunned and feel absolutely helpless to say anything other than that I am so terribly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this devastating time. So terribly sorry!

Brenda & family, I regret losing my friend Bill and share your sorrow. He was a tenacious competitor on the tennis court but shared a few laughs with us as well. We shared many stories about baseball together since we were both catchers who enjoyed calling pitches and game strategy. He also advised me wisely during our family business failure. Bill proved to be a good friend to me for over 20 years and will be sorely missed. May God bless you all.
