WILLIAM CLEGG
KING SHOALS, W.Va. — William "Bill" Ellis Clegg, 85, of King Shoals, passed away Sat., May 23, 2015, at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan.
Born June 11, 1929, in Jeffersonville, Ind., he was a son of the late Charles and Jesse Mae Clegg.
Bill was a retired banker and a member of the Logan Bowling Association and Logan County Club. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Logan where he sang in the Chancel Choir, taught the Builders Bible Class, and served as an Elder. Bill was also a graduate of Logan High School and the Southern College of Watchmaking.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lillian Clegg; two sons: Ronald W. (Gayle) Clegg and Kenneth E. (Beth) Clegg; one daughter, Lynn E. (Alvin L.) Gleason; 10 grandchildren: Julie Gleason (Myron Brown), Amy Gleason (Joey Groah), Lauryn Davis, Matthew Clegg, Anna (Will) Hooper, Andrew (Danielle) Clegg, Kari (Chris) Martin, Kathryn (Tom) Hermann, Kelsey (Jeremy) Johnson, and William "Will" Clegg; nine great-grandchildren, with two on the way, and a host of other dear family and friends.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wed., May 27, at First Presbyterian Church of Logan with Pastor Jim Musgrave officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill.
Friends may call on the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tues., May 26, at James Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, tThe family requests donations sent to the Matthew 25 Fund or the Hungry Lambs Food Pantry.

Kenny: Ross and I were just talking about the old days we spent at Logan Country Club and the many rounds we played including "Twilight League" We were very fortunate to have the Clegg family in our lives. I will say a prayer for your dad and always remember him fondly. Please keep in touch.
