A month has passed, and I still look down the street expecting to see Will strolling along. I am at a loss for words as to why his death has affected me so much. We were only neighbors, but became instant friends. I never got a chance to do anything to show my sincere appreciation to Will, for being a shiining star when my life was gray and numb. He knew what you needed without telling him-and you never had to ask for help- he was already there getting things done.I teased him once about collecting so many points from God with all his charity and kindness. We needed some , too.
I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Last conversation while he was in Houston hospital was,"I'll be back." Well he did come home for 2 days, but I just couldn't interfere with your family's last remaining time with him. That's ok, he knows.
I am so sorry for you Sandy, and the kids, because I was just a short term aqaintance, and my sadness is so deep. I can only emagine your depth of loss.

When Don died Will helped before the need was expressed. He mowed the yard; he charged the air conditioner with freon on a hot August night after working all day; he repaired electrical problems. Denise, Kurt , and I were too numb to ask for help. Will was there. We all have memories of Will. He and his family were always there with a gift, food, flowers, or whatever was needed. This is Will's legacy. Cherish it. All my love and prayers to his loved ones.

Kent, Angela & Kathy,
I am so sorry to just find out about your Dad. Will was like a second Dad to me. I'll never forget all the fun we had as kids and all the time spent at your house. I always felt like I was welcomed and a part of your family. Since we've all gone our own directions - I looked forward to a Christmas card from your Dad and Sandy every year. He will be missed. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. Love you.

Sandy - I don't have the words that will make your pain go away. Our Lord will do that in time. I just saw you both at Harmony HIll Church at the Christmas musical and all seem to be very well. Who would know that in just a little over a month from that time, Will would be with our Heavenly Father in Heaven. Life is so uncertain.
The funeral today was a beautiful testimony and reflection of Will's life. I thought John Green did a wonderful job expressing Will's past, present and his future with Christ in Heaven. I always remember Will at last year's Bible School. I would bring my granddaughter and Will would be there everyday greeting the kids in his western wear (cowboy). He would pass our scarfs to the kids. My granddaughter loved it and would talk about him (the cowboy) all the way home. It was an exciting part of her day.
I loved the written testimonies that you, your kids and neighbor wrote about Will. What a lucky lady you were to have had Will for even such a short time. It sounds like you and Will lived a life time in those few years.
I pray that our Lord and Savior will be with you over the next few weeks, months and years and you will draw near to Him. That you will find strength, comfort, peace and love in Christ. How wonderful it is to know that we will see Will again in the very near future.
Hopefully our paths will cross again shortly. God Bless.
