William Campbell Drummond

Navesink, NJ - William Drummond (aka Billy/Poppy/"The Midnight Jogger"), 82, passed away peacefully in his Navesink, NJ home surrounded by family on March 28, 2024. He was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather - always focused on family and his children. William spent so much time throughout his life in Sea Bright, NJ enjoying the beaches and ocean. He received his undergraduate and Masters from Monmouth University and worked a successful career in NJ/NYC holding financial positions at Eli Lilly, Avon, Elizabeth Arden and various cosmetic companies. He married Sue, his wife of 54 years in 1963, and they raised their family in Rumson and Navesink, and together ran 3 successful Monmouth County salons called "Mane Masters" for 3 decades. He rode motorcycles, operated speedboats, and had an insatiable zest for life. He built 2 houses with his bare hands and was an avid traveler - visiting China, Russia, New Zealand, the Galapagos Islands, 3 nations in Africa, countless spots across the US, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. He will forever be remembered for his incredible exercise routines, sense of humor, and wit. William is predeceased by his wife Suzanne Chamberlain Drummond, his brother Ricky and parents Elaine and Frank; survived by his 3 children Leslie, Nicole and Blake, sons-in-law Dave and Daniel; and 6 grandchildren KC, Tom, Jack, Skylar, Avery, and McKenna. A memorial service will be held at Thompson's Memorial Home in Red Bank, NJ April 27, 2024 from 1-3PM.
