I will steal Clint's line "that I knew Billy for half a century". Bill was an icon to all the boys in Carp and beyond ! Will always remember playing on the outdoor rink in Carp for hours and hours. We all had a lot of fun back in the day. RIP Billy you will never be forgotten. My condolences to the Foster family.

I played many times against Bill and the Ottawa Irish in the 80's and 90's, as a member of the Yeomen Rugby Club. The games were always hard fought affairs but the post-game conversations with Billy Foster always had lots of laughs. Always looked forward to seeing Billy.

My most sincere condolences to the entire family on this sudden and shocking loss.
Bill was a very close friend of mine of more than 30 years. We worked together at Nortel for 15 years plus and went to the gym together almost every day.
When Nortel & STM Shutdown, Bill worked for my family construction company until he could complete teachers college and get a job.
Since then we pretty well met up on weekends at the YMCA until he moved to Orleans. He was an awesome guy, so many laughs and good times together! I'll miss his unique language, demeanor and humor. Rest in Peace my good Friend.. I'll miss you!

Joan, Bob, Peter, Scott and families
I have fond memories of Bill sliding on our hills, playing shinny on our creek and getting into mischief with the other fifth line kids. As a young boy, Bill, along with his brothers worked hard on the families' dairy farm. By happenstance, we met in Kanata a few years ago, we had a good talk, I hadn't seen him in many years.
I am sure he was both a beloved teacher and rugby coach. He will be sorely missed.
Thinking of you all of you at this difficult time.

Fond memories of Bill. He was a legend at Earl of March.
He inspired a number of my classmates to take on the game of rugby, that
then, we knew little about. I'm thankful for that.
Sincere condolences.
