FRAME William (Bill) Paul Arthur December 2, 1960 - August 3, 2009 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill Frame in Richmond, B.C. Bill returned to the Creator after a short but courageous battle with cancer of the esophagus. He is predeceased by his beloved father Lorne, his mother Lorraine and his brother Ron. His kind, gentle and humorous character will be greatly missed by his family, relatives and all his many friends and work colleagues. Bill is lovingly remembered by many including his very close friend Lisa Tomiki, his loving brothers Dave and his wife Nicole Morency (Toronto, Ontario), Jim (Richmond, B.C.), Gregor and his wife Paivi (Richmond, B.C.) and Thomas and his wife Barbara (Vernon, B.C.). He was a special uncle and will also be greatly missed by his many nephews and nieces; Michael , Janeen, Gift, Rose, Thomas Jr. and Nolan. Bill had a varied career, having worked as a commercial fisherman for many years on his brother Jim's seine boat the "War Nipper" as well as being Skipper of a boat in the prawn fishery. He was subsequently an employee of the Municipality of Richmond and most recently an employee of Waterfront Employers at Delta Port. He was a member of the International Long shore and Warehouse Union, Local 502. He always enjoyed and valued his work and especially his times at sea. Bill was also an avid sportsman and always looking forward to the annual "Steelhead Fishing Rendevouz" on the Thompson River. He also greatly enjoyed playing golf, skiing and being a hockey goal tender over the years. He was also very well travelled having visited many exotic and interesting spots around the world. Bill's favorite place however was always the west coast of British Columbia and seeing the killer whales at Robson Bight. The family extends sincere thanks to the caring staff at the Palliative Care Unit of Richmond General Hospital. For those who wish, donations in remembrance of Bill may be made to the Pacific Salmon Foundation No. 300 - 1682 W. 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6J 4S6, or on line at www.psf.ca . A gathering to celebrate Bill's life will be arranged in October 2009. Further details will be announced by the family. "Standing By"

To Bill's family, sorry to hear about his passing. He was a colleague when he worked at City of Richmond. It was very nice to know him and he was very helpful person.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Richmond Minor Hockey Association, we extend our condolences to Bill's family.

Bill's father, Lorne, was a long-time supporter of RMHA, and the annual "Lorne Frame Memorial Award" is given each year to the Midget Hockey Player of the Year. Bill's brother, Ron, was involved in playing hockey with RMHA, and an annual scholarship is given in his name each year to a deserving graduating player.

Bill would attend our annual general meetings for these presentations, and would always offer some well chosen words of thanks.

Jeff Lightfoot,
President, RMHA

Bill's obit was sent to me by a cousin.
My mother and Lorne and Lloyd were first cousins. I'm so terribly sorry to learn that Bill had died. Would appreciate learning more about Lorne's family. Had a family picnic at Stanley Park in early 50's. God bless and keep you all. Jean Ann Seivewright
