William French Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 11, 2024.
William T. French, 77, of Massachusetts, passed away on February 3, 2024. He was a loving and kind individual. A fighter, a "don't quit" kind of man. Known for his tough-as-nails attitude, sense of humor, and heart of gold. He was one of nine children and cherished his role as a brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and confidant. William loved many, and was loved by many.

Affectionately known as Frenchie, Bill, or Billy, William had a passion for Elvis and considered himself his number one fan. He had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and children. William had a love for animals and all of gods creatures. Along with a "sweet spot" for Dunkin' Donut's coffee and munchkins, HOOD ice-cream, homemade apple pie, and Coca Cola. He was fascinated with car shows, flea-markets, cowboy movies, and collecting newspaper articles or clippings that contained words of wisdom to share with others. He had an unwavering love for everything America; wearing both his heart and pride on his sleeve.

William excelled in working with his hands, particularly with wood. He had a talent for creating, but also in taking things apart, fixing them, and putting them back together. He was a true craftsman.

William is survived by his daughter, Hailee, and three sons, Aaron, Justin, and Troy. He also leaves behind numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry T. French, mother, Emily R. Spencer, and son, Mathew T. French; reunited and undoubtedly smiling from ear to ear.

When I shall reach that happy place, I'll be forever blessed. I am Bound for the Promised Land. -Johnny Cash
