From Daniel Staiger:
To the Children of William S Gastgeb:
I'm your 3rd cousin and didn't know your father but I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I'm sure he'll be missed based on the guestbook entries.
My reason for writing is to let you know I have done a lot of family genealogy and have quite a bit of information on your Oelschlaeger and Gastgeb ancestry.
I'd be glad to share the information I've collected. There is no charge. I have been doing the research for myself but realize that we all have a common bond. If any one would like a copy I'd be glad to send it. I've traced most family lines back to the early 1700's in Schwedler.
I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho at 7035 E 129th N. Zip 83401
You can call me at 208-524-4483 or send me an email at [email protected].
I frequently visit relatives in Slippery Rock and would like to make your acquaintence.
Yours truly,
Dan Staiger

Brett just informed us of your dad's passing so we wanted to express our condolences. Death of a parent is always difficult and sometimes even more so when they live a long life because we expect them to always be there for us. With faith you will get through this trying time and look back with love as you celebrate their life. Sincerely, Tony and Janet Mercuri

On behalf of the Krieg Family, our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Gastgeb family. He will be loved and missed. I learned how to play and enjoy golf from two men . . .Bill Gastgeb and my own Grandfather. The two were similar in nature; and to you Bill, I say Thank You!

May God grant peace to all during this time. Uncle Bud touched so many lives with his caring nature and giving ways. He was full of kind words, funny stories and always had a smile to give! I remember Uncle Bud and Dad coming home from the annual, "hunting" trip thinking going hunting was just a cover for spending time together! He loved his wife, his sons and extended family with such a pure quality, I admired that about him. He was a genuine good man that I love and will miss.

Uncle Bud,
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the rays of heaven shine warm upon your face and until we meet again
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Rest in peace Marine.
Job well done. Your laughter will be missed.
