William Goedert Obituary
William was the beloved son of James Goedert and Barbara Goedert Barnings. He was also the devoted nephew of Rev. William O. Goedert. His life was deeply rooted in family and friendship, and he will be remembered with love and affection by those who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter and his cherished siblings: Bette Duffy, Dan Goedert, Paula Szakacs, Patti Rogers, Jackie Konaszewski, Kathy Rotondi, and Monica Sheerin. William was a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.
Throughout his life, William cultivated enduring friendships that stood the test of time. Among these were his loyal lifetime friends Tim Martin and Kevin Ferriter, whose bonds with him reflected a shared history of laughter, loyalty, and unwavering support.
A true Chicagoan at heart, William was an avid-and ever hopeful-fan of all Chicago sports teams. Whether cheering from the stadium or watching from home, his passion for the game never wavered.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and joy in remembering the moments shared together. A Funeral Mass will be held on September 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of St. Germaine 9701 S. Kolin. Visitation 9:30-10:30
