I am deeply saddened by the news of your loss. My heartfelt condolences go out to all. I have great memories of a fun time in our lives which include working with Bill at the Merchandise Mart and having my first Boston Coffee. Treasure the good times you had together.

Bill Hamer will forever remain a legend. He wore two hats well in the Hamer household....a Father and a Friend. A unique character that redefined having fun raising your kids. Knox Avenue in Wilmette should be renamed Billy Hamer Way... he was a great guy that left a genuinely unique legacy. Keep smiling and laughing Bill....you're a one-of-a-kind !

To Arlene, Bob, Steve, Richard and all the family and friends that had the good fortune to have known Bill, my deepest condolences on his passing. The phrase "larger than life" has become a trite portrayal when trying to describe people who are impactful in our lives. Not so when it comes to Billy Hamer. I feel privileged to have known him and to have experienced his wonderfully unique sense of humor. He will truly be missed.
