William Hanson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 4, 2022.
William F. Hanson passed from this life into his next adventure on November 29, 2022 with his beloved wife of 43 years, Deborah (Horvith) by his side. He was born on October 10, 1950 in Hartford, CT., the son of the late Frank L. Hanson and Lillian J. (Fortier). His other love, besides Debbie, was his love for all of their fur babies past and presently Marcus. Bill loved to post quotes on Facebook daily. Many of us looked forward to seeing these and Bill took them very seriously. His last quote on October 26 shows the spirit of our beloved Bill. "There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met." - Yeats. Bill loved sports and played softball in the Glastonbury league for many years. Several years after retirement from United Healthcare, Bill and Deb moved to the warmer climate of Florida where Bill could fine-tune his already great golf game. He was proud of his service as an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Bill was the only brother, in a family of five siblings. He leaves his sisters, to mourn his loss, Karen Chadderton, Lois Dunn and her spouse Peter, Susan Willard and Gail with her husband, Ken Fargnoli. In-laws, Joe and Phyllis Horvith, Brian Kehoe, Sharon Lettieri, Wayne and Peggy Horvith and Allen and Coleen Horvith. He had many beloved nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who will lovingly cherish his memory. With his kind and generous spirit, he made many close and wonderful friends who will miss his companionship greatly. Donations in honor of his name can be made to CT Humane Society.

My sincere condolences to the entire family. This is the hardest part of our journey- to lose your love and soul mate. They are gone but never forgotten. God hold Bill in your hands and heal this families pain. We all wait to be united again in your kingdom as was declared by your own son who gave his life freely to make this possible.
