William V. Hardy, 75, of Rock Island, died Friday, July 15, 2005, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island. Private burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, La Salle, Ill. William was born Dec. 19, 1929, in Chicago, a son of Frank G. and Mary A. Rezen Hardy.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rock Island, for 50 years. For the last eight years he was a resident of the Ninth Street Place, an ARC group home in Rock Island. William was self taught at the piano and organ, and loved to play the hundreds of hymns he had learned over the years. His strength was his faith.

Pat: Sorry to hear about Bill. Joe Creen told me when we had coffee when I was up for the Bix. I can see in my mind's eye your Mom and Bill coming into St. Joes for Sunday Mass.

Your son Bill and I run into each other once in a while down here.

Take care,

Jim (O'B)
