Dr. Bill was the best Pediatrician, in my opinion, around! I can remember going to see him and never once crying about getting a shot etc. He was a good man and is missed dearly!

I never had Dr. Harrison as my doctor and never did get to really know him very well. I do know one thing, my son, Kevin Manly Young married his beautiful daughter Karen and I have her her speak of him many times. So, Dr. Harrison, you have a beautiful daughter and Kevin and her have three beautiful grandchildren, and my wife, Primilla and I are proud to be his grand children part of our life now. And his granddaughter Morgan is going to have for my wife and I a great granddaughter very soon and we are so happy for that. Rest in peace Bill and rest assure that my wife and I will continue to love each of his grandchildren, Morgan, Dylan and Cameron and our great grand daughter and his Daughter Karen for the rest of our lives.

DR. Harrison was very sweet. I was friends with his Son Blake from 5th-12th grade and he would always go out of his way for us to get where we wanted to go. Always made me feel welcome in t heir home and was a great person.

Doctor Bill was my doctor when I was a child living in Knoxville. I moved to another state when I was 10 and today I am 28. Something made me think of Dr Bill so I googled his name to see if he still practiced medicine. It saddens me deeply to know that he has passed away. He was clearly a very special human.

I HATE that I didn't know about this. I was just doing the paperwork for my daughter to start college and was looking up Dr. Harrison. He was my children's pediatrician. He was THE BEST in Knoxville. He was such a GREAT person. He always cared so very much for his patients and their families. He was a very special man with one of the best hearts in the world. Dr. Harrison, you WILL be missed VERY much. Thank you for all of the years of unmatched care for my family. We love you!!!!

Dr.Bill was the doctor for my four children. My oldest son will be 25 October 30th. My daughter just had her first baby and we were looking for Dr. Bill so he could be the baby's pediatrician when we learned about Dr. Bill's passing. We followed him from Farragut, to Knoxville. I joked with him several times and told him we were stalking him. When my son was little we went for a check up. Dr. Bill asked me how my day was going. It had been a rough day and I told him a little about a series of unfortunate events that had transpired that day. Well, I left the office and paid my co-pay. Two days later I had mail from the office. I opened up the letter. Dr. Bill wrote me a note that said not to worry about the visit. He said "it is on me". He sent me back my $20.00 co-pay. His kindness brought me to tears. We loved him!!! We will miss him dearly!!

Dr. Bill had been seeing my son who is now 5 since he was 6 months old. He also took care of my brothers, and younger sister. He was an amazing pediatrician who truly cared about the kids. When no other doctor could figure out what was going on with my son, Dr. Bill did. I am deeply saddened by hearing of his passing and can only hope I will find another pediatrician and wonderful and as talented as Dr. Bill. The world lost a great man.

I just heard of Dr. Bill's passing and our whole family is terribly saddened. We found Dr. Bill when my oldest daughter was 2, and he was in Farragut. He diagnosed a problem, had her in surgery the next day and it saved her life. She is now a healthy, happy 16 year old straight A student. My 2 youngest, ages 6 & 7 have gotten to know Dr. Bill and we followed him from UT to Lenoir City. We last saw him in August for check-ups. He has taken care of all 3 of my children, and I can honestly say we will never forget him. He was a wonderful soul who never treated anyone as a patient-they were all friends he had just met. I am so sorry for those who will never know him and my deepest sympathy to the family who did.

I am so sorry about your Dad...you guys were our neighbors when you were young. Bill used to walk HushPuppy, and you guys had the cutest flop- earred rabbit. You and Kevin were bicycle buddies. You are a grown man now and I hope things are great for you. Again, I am so very sad about Bill.

I just heard about the death of Dr. Bill. He's been my son's doctor since birth. We followed him from UT to Lenoir City without hesitation, because we absolutely loved him. He's such a good doctor. I think it will be hard to find another doctor that my son (who is now 5 years old) actually looked forward to seeing, and believe it or not, asked to go see at times. We will miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

He was a wonderful doctor that combined medicine with common sense. My son, Remington, adored him and was never afraid. I trusted him as a doctor and respected him as a father. The world was truly blessed with all of his gifts.

There are not words enough in my vocabulary to begin to describe the place Granddaddy held in not only our lives, but our hearts. I feel not only blessed but honored to have spent so much time & memories with him, but to know I always had not only a friend but a shoulder to cry on, a soothing voice to calm my fears, as well as a loving "adoptive" father who never failed to tell me how proud he was of me.
You are greatly missed and I know you are still watching out for me from above. You were my guardian angel in life as I know you will continue to be in death. Thank you for everything. I hope to keep making you proud.

This completely breaks my heart, I have known Dr Bill since I was a child, I knew his son Gene when we were kids and when I grew up & had children I took my babies to him. We have followed him to lots of locations,he was the best, most amazing man & Dr anyone could ever ask for, my girls are 13 and 2... my 13 year old thinks the world of him, this is going to be a hard thing to break to her! Dr. Bill was a wonderful pediatrician as well as a support for new mothers with sometimes silly concerns. I always remember when I was concerned that my child was not walking yet he said "how many 20 year olds do you know that don't walk?" My adult children still talk about his Donald Duck. He will be missed.

I worked with Dr. bill for several years at UT. He always had a funny thing to say no matter what was going on. He was also my son's first pediatrician. There was a very short list of doctor's I would take my son to. Thanks for being such a wonderful man. Prayers to the family. I met you only four years ago when I brought my twins, Kynleigh & Austin in to see you for the very first time. The kids loved you & as they got older were actually excited to go to the dr because they got to see "Dr. Bill" or "Da-ta Biw" as they say. I was so sorry to hear about the death of of Doctor Bill. I only met him a couple of times, and that was at my son, Kevin and his beautiful Bride Karen's Wedding. And the second time when Karen received her degree to become a nurse. From our short talk I could tell he must have been a great Doctor. I have heard Karen speak of him many times and I could always hear the love she had for him in her voice. As I read what others have said about him, I know he was loved by many people. I know god welcomed him with open arms being he was a wonderful doctor and man . I was a lucky mother to have him treat my children for many years and also an aunt who he also treated my nephews and niece . His compassion will be missed and indeed his knowledge . I cannot count the number of times I have thought about Dr. Harrison. We worked together at Children's, and he was one of the kindest and most caring physicians with whom I worked. What I remember the most is a comment he made about birthday cake. I have no idea why this memory stays with me. When we had cake at work he would always say "Oh LARD, I love a good cake!". Each time I eat birthday cake, I make this comment and think of Bill! I was lucky to work with him and I was lucky to know him.
