On Friday, December 20, 2013, age 67, of Valencia. Husband of Alice C. Boyle Hayes, who he married on May 31, 1969; father of William Hayes, Jr. and his wife, Renee of Mars, Shane Saddler and her husband, Bill, and Jason Hayes and his wife, Kim, both of Virginia Beach; grandfather of Alicia, Levi, Lindsey, Bo, Hope, Haylee, Logen, Jeffrey, Troy, and Regina; brother of Mary Fox and her husband, Jim of Aliquippa, and Jack Hayes and his wife, Nancy of Scott Twp.; also nieces and nephews. Bill had been an aircraft mechanic for U.S. Airways in Pittsburgh for 24 years. Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mars V.F.W. Post 7505 and the Carnegie Elks. He was an avid golfer. He was also a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Twp., and had coached youth baseball at Crafton/Ingram and youth football in Green Tree. Friends received at the McDONALD - AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherry Sts., Mars Boro, on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001. I was talking to Bill at a grade school reunion a few years ago We realized we went to the same school and that Bill worked with my deceased Father-in Law at Benvenutie's forty years ago.

Alice and family,
I remember Billy fondly. I especially remember going Christmas shopping with him for your first Christmas, Alice. I was so young and was amazed at how many gifts he bought for you.

Worked on second shift with Bill for over 10 years in hanger 5..Amazing how many respected Bill for all the effort he put forth for the men on the shift. He fought for us all in his union position...He was a great guy outspoken and witty, always remembered ..God Bless the family in this time of grief...
