William Henry Hicks, 77, passed away on January 6, 2025, in Danielsville, GA. Born on April 8, 1947, William dedicated his life to serving his country and community. He proudly served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Post-military, William continued his service by working with various sheriff's offices and was a respected member of the Northeast Georgia Sheriff's Department.

William is survived by his loving wife, Lee Ann Hicks, and their six children: Justin Willard, Brandon Hicks, Kimberly Hicks, Daniel Hicks, Angela Hicks, and Ashlyn Hicks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claiborne and Margaret Hicks.

William's passions included playing golf, four-wheeling, spending cherished moments with his grandchildren, and enjoying rides in the mountains in his jeep. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I knew Henry when he worked for Madison County Sheriff´s Dept. He was always very nice and polite. Always smiling and happy. Prayers for comfort and strength during this difficult time for your family Rest In Heaven Henry

One of the first people I met at APD when I first got there in 1975 was Henry. Good man and good friend. He was always ready for a laugh and an adventure. We used to meet with a few other Geezers on Friday mornings at Bojangles for coffee. Rest now Brother you did your part
