Family-Placed Death Notice

HINTON, William, Jr. MR. WILLIAM B. HINTON, JR. Mr. William B. Hinton, Jr., age 76 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010. He was the son of the late Brookes and Marion Hinton. He married his lifelong sweetheart, Barbara Coker Hinton, in 1955. They were married for 55 years as his beloved Barbara passed away in March of 2010. He is survived by his brother Robert and sister-in-law JoAnn; sister Sue and brother-in-law Ken Jones; three daughters and sons-in-law Linda and John Breedlove, Kay and Greg Mason, and Shannon and Robert Baker; and eight grandchildren- Melissa, Amy, Brookes, Christopher, Will, Kelsea, Connor, and Holly who loved him dearly. A native of Atlanta, GA, he attended Brown High School and later graduated from Georgia Tech. Upon graduation he earned a degree in electrical engineering and the title of ROTC Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He very proudly served in the Air Force as a radar tech and spent one year in Japan. Bill will always be remembered for his love of the Lord, commitment to family, enthusiasm for travel, and passion for trains. He started a second career in 1974 as an accountant, financial/estate planner, and life insurance salesman. He excelled in this field and helped many people achieve their goals. The family sends special thanks to our friends, his extended family and to all his wonderful caregivers for their prayers and support during his illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 27 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Minister Jim Reavis, Rev. Charles Farr and Rev. Scott Hearn officiating. Interment will be held at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 6pm and one hour before the service, at the funeral home.
