William Jean Obituary
Bill grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from lola HS in lola, KS, and earned a degree in Business from the University of Kansas, a Master's, and PHD from Purdue University. He retired from teaching Economics and Finance, the last twenty-five years of his career at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He wrote several Economic and Finance text books and numerous journal articles.
Bill enjoyed tennis, racquetball, swimming, daily walks, and traveling to his favorite places in Germany, London, and Australia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother, and sister.
He is survived by his brother-in-law and five nieces and nephews and their families.
The family would like to thank Adam Owenby and his wife, Stephaney, for their assistance.
