I just found out about Dr. Kinard's passing. Of all the professors I had he was the best , basic chemistry, quantitative analysis and chemical oceanography. I have thought of him throughout the years, just sorry to hear of his passing.

I am extremely saddened to heard of Dr. Kinard's passing. I was reminiscing with my husband a few weeks ago how I believed Dr. Kinard was the only person that could make a 6 hour Quant lab bearable. CofC has been dealt a large blow. He will be missed. My prayers are with the family.

I still remember Dr. Kinard walking around us while we were taking tests in his first Honors chemistry course. he would repeatedly lament)in a very playful voice) how easy he made the test and was concerned that we took so long to finish it. I would think "I bet I would think this was easy if I had a Ph.D. in chemistry." smile
He taught me ideas that have helped me think clearly. He was a great person to have as a teacher and a good fellow.

My condolences to the Kinard family. Dr. Kinard was a great professor and I learned a lot from him. He will be missed but he will be remebered by all that were blessed to know him.

To the Kinard Family, I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Kinard. I had the opportunity to be hired by him in 1985 as a department secretary. His kindness will never be forgotten. You have my deepest sympathy.

Dr. Kinard taught a lab that I took around 1984. What a witty, hilarious man! I still remember how warm and funny he was. Yet safety and professionalism was observed always. I am a teacher myself now, and hope I reach my students a fraction of the way Dr. Kinard did. What a loss to the College, and to the world.

To the Kinard Family, I was saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Kinard. He and I would greet each other some mornings while strolling along into work here at the College of Charleston. I will miss his smile and warm demeanor. May he rest in peace.

"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love." Leo Buscaglia
We pray the love of God brings you comfort and peace. We love you and are thinking about you.
