William L. Knox, 64 of Sterling died Sunday March 12, 2017 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. He was born on October 31, 1953 in Sterling, the son of Aaron and Evelyn (Shepard) Knox. William is a United States Air Force Veteran who served in Okinowa, Japan. He worked as a carpenter. He is grateful to share his life with his two daughters: Alisha Warrey of Aberdeen, SD and Erin Mayer of Fargo, ND; his son, Joshua Knox of Aberdeen, SD; his sisters: Connie (John) Milles of Rock Falls, Terri (Roger) Pineda of Arlington, WA and Cindy (Bobby) King of Lake Lure, NC; his brother, Doug (Betty) Knox of Rock Falls; 6 grandchildren, Aaron, Kaylin, Gabby, Aadon, Rowan and Lily; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents. A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, 505 1st Avenue. Full Military Honors will follow at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Since I was informed of your passing Bill, my mind has been flooded with so many memories. Our lives have crossed paths in our life's more times than I could ever count. And each time it was for a reason and during different stage of our lives. I know that you will stay locked tight in my heart. I have nothing but fond, loving memories of you Bill. I will miss you terribly. But i do know that all of us will be together one day.
