Longtime Physicist at NRC
Peacefully, in the arms of his beloved wife, of over 62 years, Ruth (née Meldrum), Friday March 4, 2016 at the age of 89. Loving father of Catherine and Peter (Maggie). Proud grandfather of Sean, Taylor, Ryan and James. Dear brother of Peter (the late Joan). He will be forever remembered by several grandnieces and grandnephews. In his early twenties, he obtained his private pilot's licence. He loved the cottage he built and enjoyed time sailing. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (100-1101 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2C 3W7) would be appreciated.
