WILLIAM T. LEASURE Chesterton, Indiana Age 78 of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 17, 2005. Mr. Leasure was a Construction Superintendent for Gary Hobart Water Corporation where he retired after 40 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the Phillipines in the 185th Infantry. He was born on July 26, 1926 in Bellaire, Ohio, to the late Thomas G. Leasure and Pearl Bond. He was married on January 29, 1949 in Lake Station, Indiana, to Mary Lou Moy, who survives of Chesterton, Indiana; Also surviving are her children, Thomas (Jo Ellen) Leasure, William Leasure, Clifford (Janet) Leasure, Susan (Thomas) Thompson, Sandra (Jan) Tuman and Sharon (David) Brown; 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Elyn Perez. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Portage. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel. The family would prefer memorials be made to the American Kidney Foundation.

He was a good neighbor in East Gary. I went to school with his sons Thomas and William. I hope they are well.
