William Lee Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 9, 2025.

William Scott Lee, known affectionately as Scott by his friends and family, left this world on October 3, 2025, at the age of 63, at his home in Grand Ledge, MI. He was born on July 30, 1962, in Highland Park, Michigan, son of the late William and Anna (Kachigian) Lee.

Scott's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife of 31 years, Janine Lee, who stood by him through every chapter of their lives together. He was a devoted brother to Jeff (Sue) Lee, Daryl Lee, and Julie (Chuck) Drury, and uncle to several nieces and nephews. His loyal dog, Shelby, was a constant companion and brought him immeasurable joy.

Scott started his adventure in life after graduating from Ogemaw Heights High School in 1980. He found work in Georgia and then Texas before coming home to Michigan. He work as grounds keeper and maintenance for several apartment complexes. For many years, Scott served as the head custodian at Waverly Public Schools, where his reliability and expertise were well-known and appreciated.

Scott had a love for classic cars and was more than a hobby; it was a passion that he pursued with enthusiasm. He had a knack for fixing things, a handyman in the truest sense, always ready with a tool and a solution for any problem. This trait made him the go-to person for family and friends whenever something was broken.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Scott to the charity of your choice. For online condolences please visit www.millsfuneral.com
