William Ernst "Bill" Lehmann

William Ernst Lehmann, known affectionately as Bill, passed away on June 18, 2024, in Flagstaff, AZ, at the age of 75. Born on February 24, 1949, in Norfolk, VA, Bill's journey was one marked by dedication, skill, and service.

Bill's military career began in the Navy (USN) in 1969, where he quickly established himself as a proficient aircraft mechanic. After serving actively until 1971, he transferred to the Naval Reserve, continuing to contribute until 1973. His time in the service was characterized by a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of both the technical and personal demands of military life.

Following his military service, Bill embarked on a distinguished career in the beverage industry. He was a long-time employee of The Coca-Cola Co before taking a position in Flagstaff, AZ, with Pepsi Cola, where he remained until his retirement. His expertise and dedication made him a respected figure in his field.

Bill was also a masterful Eagle Scout, a testament to his lifelong commitment to skill development and community service. His involvement with the Veterans of Foreign War clubs underscored his love for social gatherings and community engagement, providing him with a platform to connect with fellow veterans and share experiences.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Lehmann; daughter, Stephanie Calabrese, and her son Andrew; son, Marcus Lehmann, and his children Kara and Lincoln; as well as his stepchildren, Liza Sanchez and Henry Talavera. Bill's legacy is carried forward not only through his family but through the many lives he touched with his skills and passions.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4-7 PM at the John McCain VFW located at 751 S Az Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225. The gathering will honor his life, service, and the indelible marks he left on both his personal and professional communities.
