William Harold "Billy" Lucas

POUNDING MILL, Va. — William (Billy) Harold Lucas, age 43, of Pounding Mill, Va., passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010. Born November 10, 1966 in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of Patricia Jane Tucker of New Castle, Del. and the late Billy Ray Lucas. He had worked at the Pocahontas Water Plant and was the water plant manager for Tazewell County Public Service Authority. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Virginia Frances Lucas; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph B. and Virginia Lee Eastburn. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jeanette Lucas; one twin brother, Michael Joseph Lucas of Bowling Green, Ky.; his stepmother, Kathy Lucas of Kenneth Square, Pa.; one son, Chad Stevenson Lucas of Tazewell; one daughter, Lyndsey Leanne of Tazewell; five sisters, Pat Basham and husband, Tim of Belfast, Lisa Rex and husband, Jim of Newark, Del., Carrie Rutt and husband, Tom of Middletown, Del., Jennifer Thwaites and husband, Ed of Dover, Del., and Rebecca Lucas of Kenneth Square, Pa.; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Osborne, Jr. of Cedar Bluff; two sisters-in-law, Joaneey Kimbley and husband, David of Burkes Garden and Shelley Osborne of Cedar Bluff; brother-in-law, John Osborne and wife, Tiffany of Doran; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va. with the Reverend Rick Herald officiating.
