INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – William "Bill" Craig Ludwig, Jr., 50, of Independence, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 7. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a memorial service following at 6 p.m., both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.
Bill was born Sept. 6, 1967 in Mason City, to William Sr. and Patricia (Smith) Ludwig. He was a 1985 graduate of the Wapsi Valley High School, and graduated from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa, and served proudly in the United States Air Force. Bill was the Director of Security for Research Medical Center in Kansas City for 20 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Amy; two sons: William C. Ludwig, III "Trey" and Tanner Ludwig both of Independence, Mo.; his parents, William and Patricia Ludwig of Independence, Iowa; brother, Joe Ludwig of Independence, Iowa; step-son, Parker Zaiser of Grain Valley, Mo.; and a step-daughter, Emerson Goodson of Independence, Mo.
A private Memory Sharing will be held Friday, June 15, in Fairbank, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Buchanan County Sherriff's K-9 unit; 210 5th Ave NE, Independence, IA 50644.

I'm so sorry and sadden by the Newsof Bill passing. I cannot express my deepest sympathy for Trey and Tanner. You three always kept me on my toes during your hair cuts. Hugs and prayers for your family. RIP Bill you'll be sadly missed but wonderful memories
